LDPE tubular films
on rolls of 500 meters per roll
Description
Description
polyethylene tubular films
With these polyethylene tubular films from polystar® You can pack them up, row by row.
The transparent endless rolls save time and allow a freely definable bag length with a "view". Thanks to their high tear and wet strength, all tubular films also offer particularly good protection for your packaging goods.
Large rolls of 150-500 linear meters in the common widths of 80-1100 mm and thicknesses of 50-200 µm are also available from stock at short notice.
environmental impact
Climate change and the Fridays for Future movement are making us all sit up and take notice and are on our minds. And when we add to that the images of the huge plastic carpets in the oceans, most of us start to wonder why products still have to be wrapped in plastic these days.
First of all, it must be clarified that not all plastic is the same. There are huge differences here, which we cannot go into further due to the variety. So let us go straight to the polyethylene packaging films from our product range:
- Polyethylene is a byproduct of oil and gas production. The raw material for PE is the gas ethylene.
- The production and processing of PE (polyethylene) is free of harmful substances. No harmful fumes or waste water are produced.
- PE is usually used in its pure form, i.e. without being combined with other materials.
- Pure PE can be recycled almost indefinitely. The thermoplastic material is melted down and processed into new products.
- Even if the polyethylene can no longer be recycled, e.g. because it is too dirty, it is sent for thermal recycling. Polyethylene is therefore a high-quality fuel that contributes to the energy supply (district heating). As with any combustion, thermal recycling produces carbon dioxide and water.
- Polyethylene does not contain any plasticizers.
- PE films are particularly versatile in their application and offer protection for sensitive goods such as food and medicines, but also for screws, ball bearings, furniture and building fittings, spare parts, high-quality tools, etc.
We go one step further and deliberately produce our PE tubular films in Germany. This way we reduce the CO² footprint through short transport routes.
