Sealing composite films (aluminum and paper composite) and polypropylene

Hot, hotter… Sealing with polystar®

The polystar® heat sealing devices continuously maintain the set temperature to the exact degree and are absolutely reliable. After a short heating phase, which depends on the temperature setting, the polystar® heat sealing devices are ready for continuous use.

Heat-sealable packaging is easy to dry

We can't describe it any more briefly: insert, close, open - the seal is complete. Sounds simple - it is simple! The sealing process is always the same, regardless of whether you want to use a mobile sealing tool or a stationary heat sealing device. You place a heat-sealable package, e.g. a Doypack bag or a polypropylene bag, between the ready-to-use sealing elements and close them. During the short sealing phase, the sealing elements remain closed. After the set sealing time has elapsed, the sealing elements are opened again and your packaging is securely sealed.

Mobile or stationary - there are hardly any limits to sealing

There are two different local applications for heat sealing devices. Either the location for the sealing is flexible and always "somewhere else" - then the use of a safe sealing pliers type polystar® 400 SZ is perfect for you. Or the heat sealing device is only needed in the same location - in this case the heat sealing device type polystar® 260 HSG is best suited.

However, one thing is clear with both heat sealing devices: they can only seal films and/or bags that are heat sealable! As a rule, composite films made of aluminum or paper composites with a PE inner coating as well as PA/PE bags or bags made of pure polypropylene are suitable for safe sealing.

Mobile sealing pliers from polystar®

Let's start with the advantages of a polystar® sealing tong. The lightness of the heat sealing device in the form of a sealing tong paired with the five-meter connection cable means you can seal your films almost anywhere you need them. The sealing tong is also particularly safe, as the hot sealing elements are protected by a heat-resistant but transparent cover. In other words: you won't burn yourself when using a polystar® sealing tong.

The sealing pliers are simply connected to the power socket using the power plug. You do not need any additional equipment such as a separate pulse generator. Both the temperature and the sealing time are set using polystar®'s own handle electronics. The adjustable temperature range is between 100°C and 200°C, with a deviation tolerance of only ± 5°C. The sealing time can be set from 1 to 10 seconds. The perfect sealing is rounded off by the optical and acoustic status display and error signals.

There is no easier or more flexible way to seal your packaging.

Stationary sealing of heat-sealable bags and films

You need a compact heat sealing device for your packaging. It should seal bags and films quickly, easily and absolutely reliably. Then the polystar® 260 HSG heat sealing device is the right choice for you.

Sealing time and temperature - in the tenth of a second range - can be quickly set using the rotary/push button. Just wait for the heating phase at the start of the working day and you're ready to go! Place the packaging in bag form between the horizontally arranged sealing elements, press the foot switch and, once the sealing time has elapsed, remove the freshly sealed film - done!

The polystar® heat sealing device type 260 HSG is easy to integrate into a shop's interior due to its unobtrusive appearance. For example, freshly ground coffee or selected chocolates or similar can be sealed in the respective product-specific packaging at the sales counter, keeping their aroma fresh. A real added value for your customers too.

Which types of foil…

…can the heat sealing machines process?

All composite films with a sealable inner coating made of polyethylene: aluminum or paper composite, PA/PE films, bags made of polypropylene (PP)

If you are not sure whether your favorite film is sealable, just send us a few samples and we will test it for you!

By the way…

...we are often asked whether we can offer film sealing machines in stainless steel. We can. However, not all heat sealing machines, film sealing machines or continuous sealing machines are suitable for being made entirely of stainless steel. If you need one, just give us a quick call.

And did you know…

...that in addition to the polystar® brand heat sealing devices, there are also film sealing devices with different film sealing techniques? The heat impulse sealing devices work - as the name suggests - with a heat impulse that is triggered, which starts the actual sealing process. These film sealing devices can seal packaging made of a wide variety of film types quickly and safely.
