Weld tubular films and bags made of e.g. polyethylene (PE) or polyamide/polyethylene mixture (PA/PE)
Professional work with heat impulse welding devices from polystar®
Are you looking for an affordable solution to safely package your high-quality products without having to make a major investment in a large packaging machine? However, the film sealing device must be robust, resilient and suitable for continuous use? Is your packaging either a bag or a tubular film or even both? Then you have come to the right place.
The heat impulse welding devices from the polystar® brand combine exactly the features you are looking for. The large selection of different handling options - mobile or stationary work, hand or foot operation - make film welding to protect your products child's play.
Mobile welding…
...for example, endlessly long films is possible with the polystar® pulse generator type 120 GE and the different sizes and types of pliers. But film bags, for example made of polyethylene, can also be welded quickly and permanently.
This version of film sealing machine does not shy away from large sacks or bags and/or valve sacks with PE inner coating. With this type of packaging, the packaging industry or trade only has to ensure that the area of the weld seam is absolutely free of dust.
Manual work is no longer necessary with lever-arm heat impulse welding machines…
...the polystar® brand is in demand. These sealers are available in three different lengths and in two designs. With the simple version of the film sealing device, the lever arm must be held down during the sealing process. With the version with a holding magnet, this step is taken care of for you. These film sealing devices are used particularly in retail, for example for the individual packaging of spare parts or other products in bags made individually from tubular film.
Complement the space-saving film sealing machines with additional work aids so that film bags and/or tubular films can be processed without any problems.
With perfect footwork with the polystar® film sealing machines…
...with vertical sealing rails you can achieve perfect sealing results. You simply place the film between the heating elements, start the sealing process with the foot switch and the packaging is ready. With this heat impulse sealing device you can make individual bags from tubular film or seal pre-made film bags.
The film sealing devices deserve the name eco thanks to their electronic control. Not only can the parameters temperature, sealing time and cooling time be set to the exact degree and tenth of a second for sealing bags or tubular films. The intelligent control system detects the residual heat in the heating elements and only regulates the target temperature that is still required. So: eco in terms of power savings and eco in terms of reduced heating element wear.
Other work aids such as a cutting device, an attachment table, a film dispenser for one roll of tubular film or a film roll magazine for several rolls of tubular film can be perfectly complemented with the film sealing devices. Use our know-how as a source of inspiration for your perfect workstation.
The polystar® heat impulse sealers with horizontal sealing rails are also triggered with the foot. This series of packaging machines seals pre-made bags and sacks up to 1000 mm wide. For heavy film bags, you can supplement the heat impulse sealer with a so-called lifting trolley with a small roller conveyor as a working aid.
Does your bag need some "room to grow"? No problem, we have a solution for you here too: The sealing rails of the film sealing device are mounted in a U-profile, so that you can vary the protrusion of the film bag almost without limit.
The film sealing machines with horizontal sealing rails are available in four different working widths and - as with the vertical sealing rails - in both the proven potentiometer version and the eco version with electronic control.
Which types of foil…
…can the heat impulse welding machines process?
The answer is relatively simple: (almost) all thermoplastic films, i.e. polyethylene (PE), VCI films, EVOH films, PA/PE (polyamide/polyethylene mixture), polypropylene, OPP and BOPP films, bio-films made from corn or potato starch, etc.
If you are not sure whether your favorite foil is weldable, just send us a few samples and we will test it for you!
By the way…
...there are film sealing machines with different film sealing techniques. The heat impulse sealing machines work - as the name suggests - with a heat impulse that is triggered, which starts the actual sealing process.
The continuous welding process, on the other hand, uses a completely different handling and film welding technique. These devices and machines have a higher degree of automation. Thanks to the continuous drive inside the machine and the permanent heating, bags and films can be produced "on a continuous line". This welding process is therefore faster overall.
Heat sealing devices use a third film sealing technique: they are continuously heated like continuous sealing machines, but are handled like a heat impulse sealing device. You can find more information about heat sealing devices here .
